William M. Hamilton Scholarship

Purpose:
The scholarship is intended to assist high school seniors who have the scholastic aptitude and desire to attend
college, university or seminary for both undergraduate and postgraduate education, but have limited financial
resources. The desired result of this scholarship program is to equip Christian leaders for religious
and secular careers.
Requirements:
- Available to all high school seniors and college students.
- Must be an active member of a church.
- Must provide written letters of recommendation from a current ministerial staff member of your
affiliated church, a former or current teacher and one other letter of recommendation.
- Must demonstrate Christian leadership.
- Must demonstrate a basis for financial need and, if required, provide relevant documentation.
- Although this is primarily a scholarship based on financial need, applicants are expected to show that
they are committed to academic success (3.0 GPA or higher is preferred, but not required, official
transcript must be provided).
- Must be available for interview upon request.
- Must attend the presentation ceremony.
- Application and all supporting docuements must be turned in before deadline.
- If student does not complete one full semester/quarter, scholarship fund may request reimbursement.
Amount of Scholarship:
$500 ( the scholarship must be used to finance college expenses ). This scholarship will be paid to the
college you're planning to attend.
